Week 12

This week has been a bit shorter due to Fallas. We took Wednesday and Thursday off, and I took the opportunity to see some of the bigger Fallas, as well as the large firework display Nit del Foc at the Science Museum during the night between Wednesday and Thursday. It’s really worth experiencing—an uninterrupted 18-minute-long fireworks show.
Monday started with looking at a potential new project: an apartment that needs a full renovation. On Tuesday, we visited another apartment that required some renovation, but unfortunately we had to turn it down, as the client wanted it finished by summer, which we couldn’t accommodate.
There has only been work at the café this week, but we also stopped by the semi-detached house to pick up and drop off some materials. We have continued plastering the ceilings, added more drywall to the ceilings, and started building the ceiling framework towards the new glass section.
The AC units have been lifted into place above the ceiling, near the glass section. Next week they will be connected, so hopefully we can complete everything around them.
There was also quite a bit of cleaning, as the tiler was going to start working on the floor in the café area. They have now finished laying the floor in this section. Unfortunately, some flooring was missing, so we haven’t been able to complete the area outside the entrance. I ordered additional flooring from a store and was told it was in stock and that I could pick it up later the same day. However, when I went to collect it, it turned out they didn’t have it after all, and it is now expected to arrive on April 2nd. I really hope that turns out to be correct!
