Week 15

Week 15

I started the week by finishing the tasks that needed to be done in the two apartments. It turned out that all the shower doors also needed adjustment! None of them were sealing properly, and there were large gaps between the rubber strips. I also needed help from an electrician, as some cables for the ceiling light in the kitchen had no power, and we couldn’t find where those cables were connected. It turned out to be exactly the same problem in one of the bedrooms as well! So I contacted the client, who in turn had to contact the contractor who built these apartments. They will have to resolve this issue themselves, as we should not need to fix this in a brand-new apartment.

The rest of this short week, I have been at the café filling, sanding, and painting. There have also been deliveries of materials for the other project we are working on. Over there, my colleague has been sanding, filling, and painting intensively, so things are progressing well there too!

I forgot to mention last week that I had to take the car to the workshop. The brake pressure suddenly disappeared from one day to the next, so it was really unpleasant to drive! It turned out that one of the rear brake calipers was in such bad condition that it had started leaking brake fluid. So I basically had no brakes. However, it has now been fixed, and I can drive safely again.
