Week 16
This week was a short week again! A public holiday on Monday, when some saint was celebrated.
Final painting of the walls and ceiling in the café has been completed, and the last ceiling moldings have been installed. The molding was painted green, just like the walls and ceiling.
The two arches on the wall were painted beige in two coats. The wooden boards that will be placed at the bottom of the arches have been cut to size, and support has been installed at the back. However, they still need to be treated and sanded before being mounted.
Toilets, sinks, a urinal, faucets, and bathroom cabinets have been purchased. All spotlights have also been bought, but they still need to be installed. A few lamps for ambient lighting, ceiling fans, and LED strips for the arches are still missing and need to be purchased.
Vent grilles in the ceilings have been painted black and installed.
The tilers have finished installing all tiles in the kitchen and have grouted everything. The entrance floor is also now complete. The only thing remaining for the tilers is to install a tile skirting in the front part of the premises.
Unfortunately, we are still waiting for the electrician, but we hope for the best!
The plumbers need to be contacted so they can install everything in the bathrooms.
Our second project is also progressing well. Everything has been fully painted in one of the houses. We have installed the new doors and started fitting the trim in the new rooms. Laminate flooring will also be installed in one room. Plumbers, electricians, and tilers are all finished in that house. We are just waiting for the delivery of a shower enclosure, as the dimensions were a bit unusual. Work has now begun on filling, sanding, and painting in the front house.
