Since the last post, we have continued working on the café premises.
The electrician has been here and installed all the conduits for the upcoming electrical installations, as well as removed the previous electrical installations. All the walls have now been plasterboarded, and some have also been insulated. Filling and sanding of the walls that are to be painted is almost complete as well.
The ceiling framework for the suspended ceilings in the bathrooms and corridor is also in place. The tiler is currently installing wall tiles in the bathrooms, and soon the floor tiles will be laid as well. We are now waiting for the electrician to return and begin the installations so that we can move forward. Some ventilation ducts still need to be installed too.
After this, we can install acoustic insulation and mount acoustic plasterboard on the ceiling, which is required for this premises. The new glass section that will be installed facing the street has now begun production at the factory, so we are eagerly awaiting that as well.
We have also had a structure built for a new electrical cabinet facing the street, as we require a significant amount of electrical power for this premises. Unfortunately, this meant losing a window section with a width of 120 cm, but we had no other option to solve this issue.
I also visited a couple of expats who want to replace the windows in their apartment. I will return to them together with the window manufacturer, as there are some uncertainties about how we will install the windows since some of them are very large. I will provide more information about this later, depending on whether we get the job or not.
I have also submitted a quote for painting a rooftop terrace and building a canopy for a client whose house is about an hour from Valencia. I am waiting for feedback on that job as well.
There were also some changes to the premises that will be converted into an apartment, so we have had to update the quote for that client too.
We have also smaller jobs. I visited a client who had some plaster detachment on two walls, removed the loose plaster, and started filling. I also finished painting a kitchen ceiling and cleaned an apartment last week. Quite a lot of time is spent in the evenings and on weekends doing office work, preparing quotes, and handling ongoing accounting for the accounting firm.
