In the café, the electricians have finally managed to get most of the cables in place in all the conduits. However, there is still some work left before they can say they are finished!
We have been able to start insulating the suspended ceiling, as well as installing the ventilation ducts from the toilets. Soon we can begin installing the acoustic plasterboards in the ceiling. The window section is currently being manufactured. Both the staff toilet and the accessible toilet have been fully tiled. The floor tiles for the café area were delivered last week. Tiles and floor tiles for the kitchen have been ordered and we are awaiting delivery.
The customer who wants to replace windows has received their quote. Some of the windows are very large, so a crane will be needed to lift them into place! We are now waiting for a response regarding this project, which according to the schedule will take place in May, provided we receive a positive reply from the customer.
I also had to visit a customer twice, as they forgot about our scheduled meeting. It was resolved a few days later, however. He has an unfinished attic that he wants to renovate. A quote has been submitted and responded to, as the customer had expected the cost of completing the space to be lower.
I visited a site together with the window manufacturer to look at a project where the customer wants to replace the majority of the windows in their house. We are still waiting for the quote from the manufacturer so that we can inform the customer of the total cost.
Last Friday ended with a visit to the premises that will be converted into an apartment. The customer wanted to review the quote on site to ensure that we had a clear understanding.
The customer in Castellón has accepted the quote for painting the terrace and building a canopy. The work will be carried out at the end of April.
During the past week, we have also been working on renovating a semi-detached house. We have built walls for three new bedrooms and one new bathroom. The walls are constructed with steel studs and plasterboards and have been insulated. The electrician is on site installing new wiring for the new spaces. The tiler will soon begin work on the bathroom. It has been quite demanding as much of the work is on the third floor and everything has to be carried up there!
Tomorrow is Friday, and we will be working in the café premises again!
